Why matcha
Matcha is tea leaves ground on stone into a fine powder. You whisk it into water and drink the whole leaf, which is why it tastes fuller than steeped green tea and has more caffeine: roughly 60–70 mg in a 2 g cup.
Why matcha
For a few weeks before picking, the tea plants are covered from the sun. The leaves grow a deeper green and keep more of their sweetness and umami.
Why matcha
Making matcha takes a few quiet minutes and both hands: sift, pour, whisk. A small ritual in the middle of the day, made to be shared.

About us
Matcha has been a quiet constant in my life, a thread woven through years of movement, growth, and connection. I first found it while studying dance in Canada, clutching warm cups between classes and late-night rehearsals. What made those moments meaningful wasn’t just the drink itself.
With love, Sintija

What does ceremonial grade mean?
Ceremonial matcha is the matcha made to drink with nothing but water. Ours is from the first harvest, Okumidori cultivar, grown in Shizuoka, Japan and ground on stone in small batches: smooth, sweet and full of umami.
How much matcha per cup?
2 g a cup: two level bamboo scoops, or one heaped teaspoon. One 30 g tin makes about 15 cups.
How much caffeine is in it?
A cup made with 2 g of matcha has roughly 60–70 mg of caffeine. A cup of coffee has around 100 mg, and a cup of green tea around 30 mg. For less, use a little less matcha.
How should I store it?
Airtight, cool and dark. Once opened, enjoy it within 30–60 days, while it is bright green. If you keep it in the fridge, let the sealed tin come to room temperature before opening.
